Avalon - An extremely twisty and convoluted webcomic, lavishly enriched with some sort... ah, heck, it's a comic, not a best-selling book.
MegaTokyo - Pretty much satiates my appetite for manga. It has wonderful artwork, and rather suprising plot twists to keep the kiddies interested.
The Straight Dope - A wonderful website based on the Chicago Reader columns, and has an excellent message board with an equally excellent community of genii and very few trolls.
How Stuff Works - What can I say? I waste my brain-cells in wondering how my toaster works, rather than the convolutions of prime-time television...
About.com - An Ueberencyclopaedia of all of the knowledge that I can think of right now. And it's free, too.
Snopes.com - Debunks urban legends. It's a wonderful reference source for those who venture forth into the Straight Dope boards.
Archive of Einstuerzende Neubauten - EN is a wonderfully nifty band from Berlin, and this is an expansive site devoted to them.
Beliefnet - A rather interesting site on religion, and somewhere, it has a quiz that assesses you to find which religion you agree most with.
Radio Internationale Stadt - German site devoted to obscure and otherwise weird cultural gems. Don't worry; it's mostly auf English, wenn du kein Deutsch sprichst.
